Resistance

Type: Allied Assault/Defend Mission
Players: 2
Difficulty: Medium

In this mission your goal is to find and kill Commander Wittmann, before you can do that you will have to break the axis defensive line and capture some vital strategic points and repeal the axis counterattack. The map for this mission was kindly made by "GnigruG".

This map is pretty hard, especially with the new patch. When defending, 6 jadgs and tons of hetzers attacked the center point, destroyed our fireflies and M18s like slicing through cheese. Even when we haven't captured all three points, they sent panthers like there are no tomorrow. Really, I don't think it should be in medium difficult.
And I wonder if staghound doesn't unlock fireflies is game bug or this map bug. Haven't checked yet.

*cough* use 17pndr anti-tank emplacements, M1 57mms and 88s if you manage to capture them... piece of cake

17pounder get nasty with the emplacement bug. 88s are destroyed along with the barrage. We also had 57mms in there, and dag in trenches. They're all killed when flamer pioneers came and burned them.

Very unrealistic, it is well known that Wittman used a tiger, not a kingtiger. He didnt get raped on a fucking traintrack either.

Yeah but in case you missed the third sentence in the home page it says this mod isn't even supposed to be so realistic. Most of the players just want to have fun and not to play a interactive history lesson. All these missions can be alternative history so it doesn't matter. Some people already asked about the tiger before ToV was released and we said we might wait and add ToV tiger later.

BTW if you cant post without cursing all the time you better not post at all :)

Well, I think I gonna play this map again after the patch(that fix emplacement bug).
Yet I still wonder if staghound doesn't unlock fireflies is game bug or this map bug.
And another thing I forgot to mention, the mortars you got from the beginning have incredible range. Is this intended? Cause it would make mortar bunkers and US mortars useless.

which ones do you mean ? axis ones ? havent played around with range settings on this map.

Yeah, there is 2 mortars to be found in/close to the base when you start, and now when i think about it, they did seem to have a huge range!
